I'm not sure if you'll remember this far back :)Bob Moll and I were just talking of all the good times we had when you all played at his club, Gulliver's, in Smithfield many years ago.Best band and group of guys - Then you were off with Joe Cocker. We had great times back then. I remember all the many baseball games we watched together Deric back in Worcester.
Congrats on a long successful career. You always had that incredible soul.

Hi Deric,
Are you ready to step back in time .... way.... back ....to 1977, American Standard Band, the place "Daivds" in Manchester, CT . I was 19. Damn I'm old.
Fondest memory of A.S.B., the time the entire band, including Richie, came to my mom's for dinner, I cooked lasagna, talk about groupie pressure. LOL
Saddest time for all A.S. B. followers, the farewell party we threw before you left to tour with Joe C. in Australia. We were so excited and proud, but new A.S.B. would never play at Davids again.
Wondering how much of a groupie I was.. way back when. There were 4 of us that would pretty much travel just about anywhere to see
A.S.B. play. From CT, to Vermont, Mass.& New Hampshire. During this time I kept a photo album, 1977 to when A.S.B. starting touring with J.C.. I think I have a few photos from when you played with the Shaboo All Stars in Willamantic, CT.
I am glad to see you are doing well.
I am enjoying the site and look forward to purchasing your latest CD.
Happy Holidays to you and your family.

Hey Deric, I gazillion years ago I carried equipment for you and The Reflectors--Big Chucie L and me, that is. I just wanted to say hi. You were always so darn kind. I will never forget you insisting I get equal share or so of the skinny money the band made at a club on Mass Ave. Also never forget a story you told me about what your Dad had taught you, and that is always wish the best for others and never be jealous or envious of their success. Don't expect you to remember me but I figured I'd say hi and wish you the best. John King

As you can see, as soon as I got home from the concert held in Abington with Joe Bargar, I had to visit your website. Awesome!
I knew when I heard you that you were something special. After reading your bio, I feel pretty good about my judgement. Can't wait to hear your CD.
Hope to hear you in person again...I think the folks in the Abington audience now realize what a really good musician sounds like. We were so fortunate that you were free to play with Joe Bargar and the Soul Providers for our summer concert.
Thanks for doing what you do.
Sincerely,
Nancy Reid

January 19, 2007
Hello Deric,
My name is Jim aka "Saxman" Kruglak
Ive been playing sax since I was 8 yrs old
im now 46
you are one of my major influences as far as sax players.
Im now in a local boston cover band called "Good Question"
I have been messing around with different mouthpieces and reed strengths to get the best sound
I use University Music in Lowell to buy gear
there the only place close to me besides having
to go into Boston to Rayburns.
I have an original Selmer Mark VI tenor circa 1962
I use a Ponzel #2 mouthpiece with a Rovner ligature
and Rico royal #3 I get a pretty fat sound
but cant seem to keep the High notes in tune
I would like to ask you what you use for gear,
and also about the wireless mike set up.
and lastly
do you give lessons?
thank you
Jim

Hi Deric!
I just want to tell you how much I enjoyed your performance at The Grog Restaurant in Newburyport this past Sunday evening. I am a fairly new fan and have purchased several CD's after hearing you on Jordan Rich's program on WBZ. Three friends and I drove up from Connecticut for the weekend and we specifically went so that we could listen to your music. You are all such talented performers and it was an honor to be part of the audience. Thank you so much! Hopefully, you will be performing again in the New England area. My best to you.

Deric - My good friend Martha C. was on top of her game at the Parker House as expected, but you, your bandmates and Christine are what really made the evening memorable for me. What a great surprise and pleasure to hear and feel your music (at a political rally no less) ... you left me wanting more! Thanks again for the CD - I listened to it all the way home and shared it with my boys the next day. Are your earlier ones available for purchase? Hope to catch you at one of your upcoming gigs with my significant other ... and to help persuade Martha and Tom to have all of you back for an encore at her victory celebration in January. Best regards, Tim

Hi Deek - Dave treated me to a copy of your CD 'No One's Sleeping' - just great! Great sounding horn charts - great grooves - guitar - awesome organ - huge Mitch fan - but most of all, just ridiculous sax - I listened on a long drive and was smiling and laughing all the way. I continue to *love* the way you play.
I remember the time I saw you and Muzz with Steve Cataldo at the WAAF / Channel 38 gig in Worcester. You were a standout then, and remain a standout today.
I regret that FH didn't pan out - and regret that it created a gulf between you and I - but you remain so much a 'right-on-the-money-guy' in my view, and this new record seals the deal
Your humble fan,
Charlie!
